INTRODUCTION

PASSOVER or LORD’S SUPPER

Is it Spiritual or Natural?

The Natural Passover as observed by Natural Israel was instituted on the night before their exodus from Egyptian bondage as a mark of distinction between the Israelites and the Egyptians and was later observed and regarded as commemorative of their deliverance, and became one of the carnal ordinances of the law imposed on them until the time of the reformation, Hebrews 8:8-11. It was a type or shadow of Jesus until He came and fulfilled it. Our Lord being made of a woman, made under the law, Galatians 4:4, came not to destroy the law: but to obey? No! He came to fulfill the law!!!, Matthew 5:17. He, therefore, kept the Feast of the Passover according to the law. Please read Matthew 26:17-29; Mark 14:12-25 and Luke 22:1-10

In the spirit of what the Apostle Paul instructed Timothy in 2nd Timothy 2:15, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”, we the ministries of the Apostolic Church of the Name of Jesus Christ present the following lessons in three parts:

1. Scriptural truth versus false tradition

2. “Do you know” these facts about the Bible regarding the Passover versus the traditional Lord’s Supper

3. Questions and answers regarding the teaching of the Passover and our Bread of Life Doctrine

These articles are not presented herein from an argumentative standpoint, nor is it presented for the purpose of convincing our good brethren who may not see this message, but solely and purposely to feed God’s hungary children who love and want to know the truth and (who are not creed-bound or organizationally fooled) to accept the truth and go on unto perfection.

The author of these articles is the late Rev. L.W. Onstead of Nashville, Tennessee and permission has been granted to print them by the Rev. Billy Shoulders, Ambassador-at-Large, of the Associated Brotherhood of Christians headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee where Rev. Onstead was a member.
